Operational systems are used to process every day transactions of an organization. This is designed in such a way that the transitions occur smoothly and the data integrity is maintained efficiently.
The operational system has very fast insert/ update and
delete and select operation. It has minimal data. In order to improve
performance the old data is purged systematically.
